Hancock County Hazard Mitigation Plan
Check out the new 2023 Hancock County Emergency Management Agency’s hazard mitigation plan update.
It offers a broad overview of potential dangerous events and natural disasters that emergency crews may need to respond to. It draws on a wealth of data, from both historical records and climate change models, to anticipate the likelihood and severity of events. Special attention is paid to the four most likely and damaging hazards: flooding, wildfire, severe winter storms, and severe summer storms.
